It is not our intention to direct them either way, but it appears that there is a strong swell of support to promote the game via this route. It would be easier to administer, arrange and control. The publicity generated could hopefully help swell the crowd and create an atmosphere that players, officials, and the crowd would enjoy. With 3 finals on the day it ought to be a wonderful way to watch the spectacle. If steps were taken now, this could be in place for next season and what better way to showcase the game and end the season? We are fully in support of this and feel that it would be another progressive step by the Union.
I don't want to be a backstrider, but you see the season only has 18 weeks of play at the current time. In this time we have to take concern of the following: 15's,7's,cup and playoff. A three final game would only be possible if we took away the semi's, but i do not think the clubs who come on places 3-4 wants that. So we have a problem Anyone who feels they have good ideas about the future of the game please feel free to join the TK. It is easier to do things if we are more. Right now it is kind of a small group.

Most teams have signed on for next season. Please those clubs who haven't yet hurry!
At the moment the SM-Series are set aswell as the division 1. Ladies I hope that it will be done by next week.
Most teams have also signed up for the 7's. Unfortunatly some of the top 4 clubs haven't signed up:(. But the doors haven't closed on those clubs yet.

ReplyDeleteJag tycker precis som ni att en final skulle vara bättre för sporten i sin helhet och helt klart enklare att sälja till media och sponsorer. Och detta skedde ju för inte så länge sedan då man spelade på Stadion och Kristineberg. Jag vet faktiskt inte varför det slopades men jag har för mig att det handlade om klagomål två klubbar i synnerhet som ansåg sig förlora allt för mycket ekonomiskt på denna ändring.
Jag tycker helt klart att förslaget är värt att diskutera.
Mitt förslag är att man spelar semifinalerna i bäst av tre matcher och en final för juniorer, damer och herrar på en etablerad arena. T.ex. Stadion, Slottsskogsvallen och Malmö IP så flyttar den runt mellan de tre.

Men hur svårt är det att läsa ett inlägg på engelska. Dem menar naturligtvis inte en finalserie med 3 matcher utan en dag där juniorer, damer och herrar spelar final efter varandra, alltså 3 matcher.
ReplyDeleteThe reason for returning from one finals day to away-home was several and most having to do with money:
ReplyDelete* the clubs felt the cost of the final was bigger than the gain (and with at least one gema at home might give an income)
* There were not enough rugby people out there who actually wanted to travel and pay to see the games.
In the end that meant that the clubs and the union lost money.
On the other hand Swedish rugby might have been able to do somethig with central marketing etc if we had stuck to the one finals setup... who knows.
Plus att det blir det skrivs "mer" under en längre tid med flera finaler. Se på Hockeyn slutspel där exempelvis finalspelet under ett par veckor där det skrivs spaltmeter om matcherna.

Klubbarna o Förbundet tjänar på det ekonomiskt
MER reklam för Rugbyn o matcherna under en längre tid.
Matcherna spelas där intresset för tillfället är störst. Alltså på inblandade lagens hemmaplaner.
Slutsats: Det är ingen publik, reklam eller ekonomisk vinst att spela 1 Final!
Utan det skulle bli ännu Bättre/mer av allt om det var flera Finaler bäst 3st eller 5 st. Hästen
Äntligen har spelschemat kommit ut. Det är nog första gången någonsin i modern tid. Nu kan klubbarna börja planera sina resor!!!
