Squad to Barcelona


We have just been informed of the players selected to represent Sweden in Barcelona. Evidently they will have a training camp rounded off with a match against Catalonia on Valentine's Day. So another step forward for the National Squad. Players selected are:-

Some new faces selected with a few of the experienced players unable to make the trip, this should be a good opportunity for others to shine. We wish them well.

  1. Nice to see that the senior national team gets some time together, I think these preparations is the difference between winning and loosing tight games.
    The only thing that stands out in selection is the absence of players from GRF and Pingvin, but then again I don’t know who is injured and who can't commit 100%!

  2. Interesting team. Can you put the positions of the players beside their names as well?

    I see that there are only 12 players from Division 1, with 6 players from the regional leagues and 5 from abroad.

    Does this reflect an improvement in the regional leagues or a lack of talent in the top flight?

  3. I can only see one from the regional division. The rest are from national 1 and above.

  5. What a load of rubbish on that other blog! There was a pingvin player 'Sette' in the squad against Malta, his not in the squad at the moment cos his wife is havin a baby. Niel is got his own agenda again!
